Activate or park ipMonitor v8 license

In order to activate and park an ipMonitor 8 license, the indirect method must now be used. Here's how:

 

To Activate:

  1. Run the ipMonitor 8 configuration utility (\ipMonitor8\ipm8config.exe)
  2. Click "Software Licensing".
  3. Click "Click here to license". This will start the Licensing Wizard.
  4. Click "Next".
  5. Select "Indirect Method" and click "Next".
  6. Copy the provided Site Code.
  7. Login to http://ipmsupport.solarwinds.com
  8. Next to your Policy ID, click "Activate"
  9. Click "Next"
  10. Select the "Indirect Method" and click "Next"
  11. Paste the copied Site Code when prompted and click "Next".
  12. Copy the supplied Extension Code and paste it into the Licensing Wizard.
  13. Click "Next".

 

To Park:

  1. Run the ipMonitor 8 configuration utility (\ipMonitor8\ipm8config.exe)
  2. Click "Software Licensing".
  3. Click "Park License". This will start the Licensing Wizard.
  4. Click "Next".
  5. Select "Indirect Method" and click "Next".
  6. Copy the provided Kill Code.
  7. Login to http://ipmsupport.solarwinds.com
  8. Next to your Policy ID, click "Deactivate"
  9. Click "Next"
  10. Select the "Indirect Method" and click "Next"
  11. Paste the copied Kill Code when prompted and click "Next".
