ADO User Experience monitor error displays in ipMonitor

Overview

The following error displays in ipMonitor:

ADO User Experience monitor error: 0x80004002

Environment

ipMonitor

Cause

The client machine is running an outdated version of Microsoft Data Access Components (MDAC). The ADO User Experience monitor can only monitor client machines that have MDAC version 2.6 SP2 or later.

Resolution

Download and install the latest MDCAC version from Microsoft (© 2018 Microsoft Corporation, available at https://msdn.microsoft.com/, obtained on September 20, 2018).
