Overview

This article briefly describes how to install and configure SNMP services on ipMonitor.

Environment

All ipMonitor versions

Steps

  1. Install the SNMP service.
  2. Set the community name and host list. Refer to Configure SNMP security properties and verify that the following options are set:
    • Deselect Send Authentication Trap
    • Accepted Community Names: Verify that at least one community is defined that has at least Read Only rights
    • Accept SNMP Packets from any host or verify that ipMonitor's primary IP address is listed
