Display disabled monitors using SmartGroups

This article describes the steps in using SmartGroups in ipMonitor to show disabled monitors.


ipMonitor 9.0 and later


  1. Open the ipMonitor Web interface.
  2. On the Devices tab, click Add.
  3. Add the new SmartGroup and set the following information as seen in the image:
    • Name: Disabled Devices
    • SmartGroup contains: Monitors
    • Start with: All Monitors

  1. Remove monitors where the statuses are Up, Warn, Down, and Lost.
  2. Click OK.

You should now be able to view disabled monitors in ipMonitor.
