These release notes provide guidance for SolarWinds Orion Web Performance Monitor (WPM) v2.2.1.

WPM 2.2 comes with the Application Stack, also known as the AppStack Environment. This provides an interactive visual mapping within Orion, giving an in-depth perspective through the entire environment to help identify the root cause of performance and availability issues. See the relationships of your WPM Transactions and Steps across a myriad of Solarwinds products and quickly identify the app servers, web servers, and databases that are impacting performance.
Note: AppStack is provided with the following software releases. If you own two or more of the listed products, AppStack will not function properly unless each version of the software is upgraded to the versions listed:
Even if you are running an older version of any of the above mentioned products, objects monitored in it are displayed in AppStack.
Create, view, and manage WPM-related alerts in Orion's new Alerting interface. Set warnings and custom timing thresholds for individual steps and entire transactions. Get notified automatically via SMS or email when a transaction fails.
Create dependencies between Transaction Steps and Nodes and Applications for fine-grained insight into your transactions.
