Fixed issues

This hotfix addresses an issue where WPM Step Details page cannot be loaded and displays the following message: Error: A query to the SolarWinds Information Service failed.

Environment

  • WPM 2.2.1

Notes

This hotfix is located at: http://downloads.solarwinds.com/solarwinds/Release/HotFix/WPM-v2.2.1-Hotfix1.zip

Install Hotfix 1 on all servers where WPM is installed.
Hotfix 1 modifies the following file:

  • C:\inetpub\SolarWinds\bin\SolarWinds.SEUM.Web.dll
    Note: This is the default location of the file.

Installation instructions

  1. Back up the file SolarWinds.SEUM.Web.dll to a different folder. By default, the SolarWinds.SEUM.Web.dll file is stored in the C:\inetpub\SolarWinds\bin\ directory. 
  2. Replace SolarWinds.SEUM.Web.dll with the version from this archive.
  3. Unblock the file using the following procedure:
    a. In File Explorer, right-click SolarWinds.SEUM.Web.dll.
    b. Select Properties from the pop-up menu.
    c. On the General tab, click the 'Unblock' button and confirm the dialog.
  4. Restart IIS.

Result

WPM Step Details page will now load without issues.

Uninstallation instructions

  1. Restore the file SolarWinds.SEUM.Web.dll from the backup created during installation.
  2. Restart IIS.
