Use domain accounts in Web Performance Monitor

This article describes how WPM can be used with domain accounts to give recordings appropriate privileges when played back in a domain environment. 


  • WPM version 2.2.0
  • Windows domain



  • The number of domain accounts needed is based on the numWorkerProcesses entry in SolarWinds.SEUM.Agent.Service.exe.configThe default on the main Orion server is 2 workers and on remote players, the default is 7.
  • These steps may vary in different versions of WPM.


In version 2.0 onwards:

  1. Browse to C:\Program Files (x86)\SolarWinds\Orion\SEUM\Player
  2. Right click on SolarWinds.SEUM.AgentDomainConfigurationTool.exe and select "Run as administrator"
  3. Tick the "Enable domain accounts for playbacks" option
  4. Complete the "Domain name:" field with the FQDN of the domain.
  5. Add the user accounts (just the name, do not include the domain in this field) and passwords
  6. Once all entries have been completed click "save"
