In some cases, you may wish to monitor a transaction over a non-standard port.  This article explains how to verify that a page on an SFTP is accessible or monitor a website that is using port 8080.

  • All WPM versions

Some web requests require for the port to be specified when navigating through Internet Explorer.

  1. Verify that the page is accessible through Internet Explorer from the player location you intend to monitor it from by adding a colon and the port number to the URL as seen follows: if the desired port were 8080.
  2. Navigate to the page using the same method above with the WPM recorder and complete the transaction.
