This article provides explanation on why websites appear different when accessing it on the recorder compared to a browser on your desktop or other machines.

This article will also provide recommendations on what needs to be installed and upgraded on the recorder, to at least achieve the same website view on the recorder compared to your desktop, or other machines, browser.

  • WPM 2.2.1
  • WPM 2.2.0

This is mostly caused by the difference on the browser, for example, using IE on the recorder and using chrome on the desktop machine. This is also caused by the difference of version of the IE browser.

Another cause is the installed web application needed to view the website like Adobe Flash Player and JAVA. The difference of the version of the installed Flash and JAVA on the recorder and desktop may also affect the difference of view of the website.

Note: WPM browser only uses Internet Explorer to view or open websites. So it is expected that there will be a difference on the websites appearance if you view it on IE compared to Chrome or Mozilla Firefox.

  • Make sure to upgrade the IE browser on the recorder (machine) with the same version of IE browser on the desktop (or other machine) that you use to compare the website view.
  • Make sure to install the required web application of the website on the recorder. Ex: JAVA and Flash.
  • Make sure that the version of the web application is the same as of the version installed on the desktop or machine where you view the website.
