WPM Remote Player can't connect: The underlying connection was closed: An unexpected error occurred on a send

Overview

This article provides a resolution for the issue in which WPM Remote Player cannot connect to the WPM Server a generates the following error:

Communication Error: The underlying connection was closed: An unexpected error occurred on a send

Environment

  • WPM 2.2

 

Cause 

  • TLS 1.0 and 1.1 is disabled

 

Resolution

  1. Download TLS Checker Tool (IIS Crypto GUI)
    https://www.nartac.com/Products/IISCrypto/Download
  2. Enable TLS 1.0 and 1.1
  3. Reboot the Remote Player Server
