Unable to save configuration when running Domain Configuration Tool of Web Performance Monitor

Overview

This article provides brief information and steps to resolve the following error:

Unable to save changes. Error: Unable to enable domain accounts configuration for agent.

 

 The error is encountered while saving configuration when running the WPM/SEUM Domain configuration tool.

 

The tool is found at C:\Program Files (x86)\SolarWinds\Orion\SEUM\Player\SolarWinds.SEUM.AgentDomainConfigurationTool.exe

Environment

WPM version 2.2.0 and above

 

Cause 

The domain user accounts must have access to the Player server.

UAC might be enabled on the player server.

The tool must be run As administrator.

 

Resolution

  1. Check if the domain user accounts used on the tool has access to the player server.
  2. Check if UAC is enabled on the player server. Disable UAC if enabled.
  3. Running the tool As administrator.
  4. Be sure use minimum 2 accounts for player workers. Will fail if try to use only one account.
