Estimate bandwidth for monitored services

Issue: You want to estimate bandwidth used by WPM players in communicating the results to the WPM server.

Every transaction is different and is dependent on the number of steps within the transaction.

The following example will produce different results in your environment:

Eight different transactions on one player over the course of 16 hours with a five minute interval used 430MB of bandwidth. This is approximately 300kB per transaction.

 

Traffic per hour = ((Transaction result size * Number of playbacks per hour) + (Transaction failure image and html size * Number of failures per hour)) * 1.3
