Overview

The Web Help Desk Asset Management buttons are missing after installation.

Environment

Web Help Desk 12.3

Cause

This is because the Asset Management is disabled in newly installed WHD until it is activated.

Resolution

  1. Log in to Web Help Desk as an administrator.
  2. Click Setup and select General > License. The License Setting screen appears.
  3. Click the Lock icon. The License Settings screen appears.
  4. Paste the new license key into the License Key text box.
  5. Click Save.
  6. Stop Web Help Desk.
  7. Start Web Help Desk. Your license is activated.
