The Web Help Desk Virtual Appliance (VA) has two hard drives (HDD); 10GB and 40GB. By default, scheduled backups of the embedded PostgreSQL are saved in /usr/local/webhelpdesk/pgsql9/Backups on the 10GB HDD. This article addresses the issue where the PostgreSQL service will not start after a restart if the hard drive has run out of free space.

  • WHD 12.0
  • WHD 12.1
  • WHD 12.2
  • WHD 12.3

This is dues to the  design limitation in the application.

  1. Upgrade to 12.4.1 where the issue has been addressed.
  2. Follow instructions in the Administrator Guide on customizing backup management.
