The "Arial Unicode MS" True-Type font (arialuni.ttf) comes bundled with Microsoft Word 2002. See Microsoft Knowledge Base Article #287247 for instructions on extracting the font from the Microsoft Office Setup CD, or download here: arialuni.zip.

To configure the Web Help Desk to support Unicode in PDFs:

(1) Copy arialuni.ttf to the Web Help Desk fonts folder:

/bin/webapps/helpdesk/WEB-INF/Helpdesk.woa/
Contents/Resources/fonts/

AND

/bin/webapps/WHDReminderDaemon/WEB-INF/WHDReminderDaemon.woa/
Contents/Resources/fonts/

(2) Restart the Web Help Desk.

NOTE: Your database must be configured to handle Unicode characters. Refer to the database vendor's documentation for instructions. (The embedded FrontBase database included in Mac OS X and Windows installations of the Web Help Desk is already configured to support Unicode.)
