URL changes after login to Web Help Desk

ISSUE: This URL does not work outside of your local network, so the connection is lost.

Example:
When you try to connect to the WHD using a secure URL such as:
https://www.myserver.com/helpdesk/We...s/Helpdesk.woa

After login, the application changes the URL to read:
https://myserver.local/helpdesk/WebO...s/Helpdesk.woa

SOLUTION:

You need to fix the value at Setup > General > Options > Server DNS Name.  Make sure a DNS name or public IP address is used there that can be reached by machines both inside and outside of your local network (assuming you wish to provide public access).

In order to fix the preference, you should use a browser on the server itself.  Connect to the application using the following URL:
https://localhost/helpdesk/WebObject...k.woa?slogin=0

Using this URL should allow you to login successfully so you can edit the Server Name value.
