Perform a bulk action to Web Help Desk tickets

Overview

This article describes how to use Bulk Action to run a set of ticket changes against one or more tickets. 

You can create and apply a bulk action set to a set of tickets. Bulk action can also be saved as a template and shared with other users.

Steps

The following procedures describe how to create, apply, and edit a bulk action in Web Help Desk. 

Create a new bulk action

  1. Log in to Web Help Help Desk.
  2. In the toolbar, click Tickets.
  3. Locate the Bulk Action feature at the bottom of the screen. bulk action-1.gif
  4. In the Bulk Action field, click the + icon. 
  5. In the Bulk Action Details screen, select the items you want to change.
  6. In the Save Bulk Action as field, enter a name for the action.
  7. (Optional) Select the Shared checkbox to share the bulk action with other users.
    The saved bulk action is stored in the Bulk Action drop-down menu. 

Apply or edit a saved Bulk Action

  1. Log in to Web Help Desk.
  2. In the toolbar, click Tickets and select the tickets you want to address using Bulk Action.
  3. Click the Bulk Action drop-down menu and select an option.
  4. Click the arrow (>) icon to execute the bulk action.
  5. A message displays, summarizing the changes that will be applied to your selected tickets.
    Click the pencil icon to edit the bulk action (if required). 
  6. Click OK.
    The bulk action is applied to the selected tickets.
