New status type is missing from the status menu

Cause: When creating new Status Type, Filter/Options were not set.

 

Resolution: Please verify the following

1. Log into WHD, go to Setup > Tickets > Status Types > click the new status type you have created, e.g., Planning.
2. Check if the "Include in My/Group Tickets Filter" box is selected, as highlighted in the screen given below:

3. Then, go to Setup > Tickets > Status Types > Options tab.

4. Make sure that the ‘Needs Approval Status Type’ and ‘Approval Denied Status Type’  drop-downs are set to 'Open', as highlighted in the screen given below:

5. Click Save.

 

Now, the new Status Type will be available in the Status drop-down in Tickets > Ticket Details.
