Set the WHD Asset Discovery Connection to sync with existing assets only

Overview

This article describes how to set the Web Help Desk Asset Discovery Connection to only sync with existing assets.

Environment

  • Web Help Desk 12.5.2 and below

Cause

None

Resolution

  1. Log in to the Web Help Desk Administrator Console using an Administrator account.
  2. Go to Setup > Assets > Discovery Connections.
  3. Open the Asset Discovery Connection that you want to sync.
  4. Click Edit.
  5. Select the Sync with Existing Assets Only checkbox, and click Save.
  6. Click Save, and then click Done. 
  7. Sync the Asset Discovery Connection.
