Portecle will not start on the Red Hat Linux GUI

Overview

On a Red Hat server GUI, Portecle does not start using the Portecle command from within the bin folder.

Environment

  • WHD 12.2
  • RedHat server
  • Gnome GUI

Resolution

  1. Open a terminal at /usr/local/webhelpdesk/bin.
  2. Manually start the application by executing:
    java -jar ./Portecle.jar
