Import a wildcard certificate in PFX format to Web Help Desk

Overview

This article describes how to import a wildcard certificate in personal information exchange (PFX) format to a Web Help Desk keystore.

Environment

  • All Web Help Desk versions running Microsoft® Windows Server®

Steps

  1. Open Portecle.
  2. Click File > keystore file > current Web Help Desk keystore.
  3. Enter the keystore password.

    The keystore password is stored in whd.conf.

  4. Right click tomcat and select Delete.
  5. Click Tools > Import key pair.
  6. Select the new wildcard .pfx certificate.
  7. Enter wildcard password.
  8. Set the alias to tomcat.
  9. Enter the key pair password.

    This password should be the same as the current keystore password.

  10. Save the keystore.
  11. Restart Web Help Desk.
