How to unmerge Web Help Desk tickets

Overview

This article describes how to unmerge Web Help Desk tickets through the Web Help Desk database (including PosgreSQL, Microsoft® SQL Server®, and MySQL). 

Environment

  • All WHD versions
  • All Windows Server versions
  • All Linux versions
  • All OS X and macOS versions

Steps

  1. Run the following command to locate a merged ticket.
    SELECT MERGED_PARENT_TICKET_ID FROM JOB_TICKET WHERE JOB_TICKET_ID = <TICKETID>
  2. Run the following command to unmerge the tickets:
    UPDATE JOB_TICKET SET MERGED_PARENT_TICKET_ID = NULL WHERE JOB_TICKET_ID = <parentID>
