Hide Asset selection (Assets Tab) for client logins

Overview

This article explains how to hide Asset selection (Assets Tab) for client logins.

All WHD versions

Steps

Note: Only a Tech Admin user of WHD can do the following.

  1. Click Setup icon and go to Assets > Options > deselect Clients Can Search Assets.
    Note: This will disable the assets tab for the Clients, however if you provide access to Location for Clients, then the permission you have set in the Assets tab will be overridden.
    To ensure Location is disabled, go to step 2.
  2. From the Setup, click Clients > in the Client Options page, scroll down to the Client Permissions section.
  3. Select Hidden for Location.
