Change the WHD Management Console user password

Overview

This article describes how to reset or change the Admin/User account for the WHD Management Console.

Environment

  • WHD 12.x
  • Virtual Appliance

Steps

  1. SSH to Virtual Appliance.
  2. Log in using a root account.
  3. Type:

    passwd user

    where user is the user name for the password you are changing.

  4. Click Enter.
  5. When prompted, enter a password.

    The password will not display on the screen.
