How to restrict FAQs to techs

Overview

This article describes how to configure FAQs so they can only be accessed by Web Help Desk techs and not by clients.

Environment 

All Web Help Desk versions

Steps

  1. Log in to Web Help Desk.
  2. Click Setup > General > Authentication. 
  3. Select the Require Authentication on External Hyperlinks checkbox.kb-5030.jpg
  4. Click Save. 
  5. Stop and then restart Web Help Desk
  6. Access the Tech Only FAQ link sent to a client account to verify that the FAQ is now restricted to techs only.
