Dates on excel ticket import in wrong format

Overview

This article describes the issue when after importing tickets from WHD, the date shows a wrong format.

For example: 15/10/2012 becomes 10/3/2013

Environment

  • All versions of WHD 
  • All versions of MS Excel

 

Cause 

This issue occurs because the Excel column format for the date is different.

 

Resolution

  • You can import in TSV format to fix the issue.
  • Select the date columns in Excel and apply the value shown below and then save the excel sheet.
