Error when sending email from Web Help Desk

Issue:

While trying to send an email from the Web Help Desk (WHD), the following error appears:

Could not create transport for E-Mail messages: Unknown host: smtp

Cause:

Incorrect incoming email settings in WHD.

Resolution

  1. Log in to Web Help Desk as an administrator.
  2. Click Setup > Email > Incoming Email Accounts.
  3. Click an account in the E-Mail Account column.
  4. Verify that the incoming email account settings are configured correctly.

  5. Click Save to save your changes.
