Overview

This article describes the issue where you are unable to see the quality data calls for VNQM. In the search calls view, you see n/a or unsupported for MOS, Jitter, Latency and/or Packet Loss.

Detail

CDR records contain information about the call source and destination. CMR records also contain the call quality details. These details are provided by both endpoints that are involved in a call. You can have up to two CMR records for a call: one describing the source endpoint connection quality, the other describing the destination endpoint connection quality.

 

To see the quality data, you need to have a device that supports CMR:

  • MGCP are the only Gateways we support at the moment. For these endpoints, you can see the quality metric values in VNQM.
  • H323 and SIP devices do not support CMRs. For these endpoints, the label is unsupported.

If one endpoint call supports CMR and the other does not, you will be able to see one CMR record only.

If a call states n/a on one when normally it has data, view the call details and look at the duration field. When it is 0, we cannot get call quality data as there are none.
