Overview

This article provides information on nodes showing Not Licensed Node from the IP SLA Operation Wizard when creating IP SLA in VNQM.

Environment

All VNQM versions

Detail

Not Licensed Node means that the node is added as node in VNQM but there is no IPSLA on that node monitored in VNQM. If VNQM is not monitoring IPSLA on that node added in VNQM, it will show as Not Licensed Node from the IPSLA operations wizard. See descriptions and replication below:

Nodes added in VNQM

This resource IP SLA Nodes shows the nodes that you added in.

When creating IPSLA and on the part where you will be asked to select the source, it will show the nodes added in VNQM.

Nodes that show Not Licensed Node, means there are no IPSLA created on that node. The example above shows the following Nodes are not licensed:

  • Bgp-2651-02
  • Core-v6tunnel
  • Tex-2901
  • Ew-2951
  • Bgp-2651-01

The screenshot below shows the nodes in VNQM that have IPSLA monitored by VNQM. Those nodes mentioned which where Not Licensed Node is indicated are not showing here.

So when you create IPSLA in VNQM, it will show Not Licensed Node.

As an example, HTTP operations will be created on the IPSLA node Ew-2951

After creating HTTP operations for node Ew-2951, the Manage IPSLA Operation now shows the Ew-2951.

When creating a new operation, the Ew-2951 is no longer showing as Not licensed node.
