Quality Metric Values in VNQM

Table of contents

Overview

This topic details what individual values for MOS, Jitter, Latency, and Packet Loss in the Search VoIP Calls results mean.

Environment

  • All versions of VNQM

Detail

The results table on the Search VoIP Calls page shows two numbers for individual call quality indicators:

  • Call origin.
  • Call destination.

If a value is light red, it means that the warning level set in the database has been exceeded.

If a value is dark red, it means that the critical level set in the database has been exceeded.

You can also encounter the following values:

  • Unsupported – the call origin or destination device is not supported by VNQM and therefore the data are not polled.
  • n/a – the device supports providing the quality metrics, but it did not provide any data now.
  • Unlicensed – the call origin or the call destination device is not licensed at the moment, and the data are hidden.

If you have a VNQM license that covers only a part of your phones, you can view data for a particular phone device only for certain time periods. For other time periods, the data is hidden to you and you can see the unlicensed value instead. This is due to the way call data are polled.
