This article discusses how VNQM determines if a node is IP SLA-capable.

Detail

VNQM polls the following OID to determine if a node is IP SLA-capable:

1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.42.1.1.1.0

If there is no response from this OID, then the node is not IP SLA-capable.
