This article will provide the steps on how to create a summary view to filter only a specific operation.

All VNQM versions

  1. Login to Solarwinds Web Console that has full Admin rights – with View Management rights.
  2. Go to Settings (upper right hand) > Views Section > Add View.
  3. Select the Type > IPSLA Summary > and put the name of the view > Submit.

  5. Since we are displaying only operation, type OPERATIONS on the Search box.
  6. Add all that you can see for Operation.
  7. You can move the selection on the control to see if that will be for column 1 or 2.
  8. Once decided, click Preview.
  9. On the Preview Page > you will see that should display all operation.
  10. One by one, hit Edit on each resource > select only UDP Jitter and Submit.
  11. This should filter each resource view box for UDP jitter.
  12. Once done, COPY the URL on the Preview page.
  13. Then go back to Settings (upper right hand) > Accounts section > Look for your Account and hit Edit.
  14. Look on what VNQM tab name you are using > then click the button “Customize Menu Bar”.
  15. Go to the Menu bar for VNQM > hit EDIT.
  16. Click ADD (bottom part) > Then type the name of the Menu bar >> put the URL of the preview page.
  17. Click Submit > submit again.
  18. Then refresh your Account login > that should appear now the new menu bar we have created.
