Take snapshot of VM

  1. In the Orion Web Console, go to the Details view of the virtual machine.
  2. In the Virtualization Manager Tools resource, click Take Snapshot of VM.
  3. To provide a custom name for the snapshot, select Custom Name, and enter a name for the snapshot.

    If you do not specify a custom name, the snapshot is identified with a date and time stamp.

  4. Click Yes to confirm.

Hiding the progress bar while the action is performed does not affect the action, and the snapshot of the virtual machine is taken even when the progress bar is hidden.

The result of the management action is displayed in Home > Summary > Last 10 Audit events.
