You can also watch this video on installation and integration.

The instructions below are valid for VMAN 7.2 and earlier using the VMAN appliance. Installing VMAN 8.0 and later, you are no longer required to install an appliance. When you install VMAN 8.0, it comes with the full Orion Platform and a VMAN Orion poller to perform all monitoring of your virtual and cloud environments.

The interfaces described in this topic are a representation of typical screens available within the vSphere Client. These instructions walk through the deployment of the VMAN appliance 7.2 and earlier to a VMware VM using vSphere 5.x or later. After deploying the appliance, you need to integrate with an existing Orion Platform or install the Virtual Infrastructure Monitor.

  • VMAN-Orion-Install-2nd.exe - installs the Virtual Infrastructure Monitor for a standalone Orion Platform. If you do not have an existing Orion Platform, VIM provides all Orion and additional VMAN features through the Orion Web Console.
