Move VM to a Different Host

  1. In the Orion Web Console, go to the Details view of the virtual machine.
  2. In the Virtualization Manager Tools resource, click Move VM to a Different Host.
  3. Select the host where you want to migrate the virtual machine. In a Hyper-V environment, you can also specify a location manually after selecting Custom location.

    You can only perform the action if a suitable destination location is available.

  4. To move the virtual machine to a different virtual storage, select the appropriate option.
  5. Click Migrate.

Hiding the progress bar while the action is performed does not affect the action, and the migration is performed even when the progress bar is hidden.

The result of the management action is displayed in Home > Summary > Last 10 Audit events.
