Virtualization Manager contains several reports by default. These reports differ from data exports because they add additional data or perform additional data processing. While data exports enable you to create a spreadsheet of data that has already been collected, a scripted report can collect additional data from external sources and process it.

Run scripted reports

  1. Click Reporting > On-Demand Reporting.
  2. Select a report, and click Run Report.
  3. Provide the required information, and click Run Report.

A Virtual Center or Hyper-V server instance must be specified, because reports are generated from connections with live data sources.

To find out who created a virtual machine, use the VM Aging report. This report contains information about both the owner and the creation date of the virtual machine.

Besides the default reports, you can create your own reports. For more information, see Create a custom report.
