Create inventory filters to limit the scope of data collection

By restricting the virtual machines that SolarWinds Virtualization Manager interrogates for WMI information, you can limit the scope of data collection activities.

The default filter includes all guests for WMI. You can create additional filters to include hosts in data collection.

  1. Click Setup > Advanced Setup > Inventory Filters, and click Add.
  2. Enter the network address and mask.
  3. Click Save.

You can add as many filters as needed to include multiple ranges of IP addresses.
