Virtual Infrastructure Monitor (VIM) is used to integrate Virtualization Manager resources into the Orion Web Console. VIM can be used as a standalone product, and it can also be integrated with SolarWinds Network Performance Monitor (NPM), SolarWinds Server and Application Monitor (SAM), and Storage Resource Monitor (SRM).

When installing VIM, the VMAN installation zip includes a file VMAN-Orion-Install-2nd.exe. This installation provides a standalone version of the Orion Web Server. If you have an existing Orion Platform, you can Integrate VMAN with an existing Orion Platform.

The graphic shows the ports required for the installation.
