VM with connected media alert shows incorrect information

Overview

The VM with connected media alert that shows incorrect information.

The alert shows VMs with connected media though after checking the actual VMs, it is verified that there are no connected media.

Environment

  • VMAN 6.3.1

Cause 

This is due data discrepancy on the VMan database.

Resolution

  1. Go to VMAN Web Console > Setup.
  2. Click Advanced Setup > System Maintenance.
  3. Run the following maintenance jobs:
    • Run Trends
    • Run Depletions
    • Clear Job Trackers
    • Rebuild Indexes
  4. Go to Collection Schedules > Setup and rerun all Collection jobs, configuration and performance.
  5. To verify if the issue is resolved. Open the VMs with connected Media alert > Evaluate to verify that the issue is resolved.
  6. The affected VMs should not show on the left pane.
