Unexpected Website Error after VMAN

Updated: 10/31/17

After migrating an instance of VMAN integrated with the Orion platform, an unexpected website error occurs whenever you try to look at a main page in the web console.

An error message may be displayed in OrionWeb.log similar to this:

Error: System.ServiceModel.EndpointNotFoundException: There was no endpoint listening at https://(hostname or IP)/swvm/services/InformationService that could accept the message. This is often caused by an incorrect address or SOAP action. See InnerException, if present, for more details. ---> System.Net.WebException: Unable to connect to the remote server ---> System.Net.Sockets.SocketException: A connection attempt failed because the connected party did not properly respond after a period of time, or established connection failed because connected host has failed to respond (hostname or IP)

  • Orion integrated with Virtualization Manager

Orion is attempting to acquire data from the VMAN server. Unable to do so, it throws an unexpected website error.
