Issue

You want to access VMware vCenters from VIM, through a port other than 443, the default port.

Resolution

This setting cannot be changed from the UI, but can be changed in the database.

Do not update an existing record in the dbo.VIM_ServiceURIs database table. Instead, use the following insert statement:

insert into dbo.VIM_ServiceURIs (ServiceURI) values ('https://{0}:444/sdk')

The database table will now contain the following two records:

Now you can use VIM with vCenters running both on ports 443 and 444. You can add more ports by using the same method.

Do not use records with exact IP addresses, because the number of records in the dbo.VIM_ServiceURIs database table will be equal to the number of polled vCenters.
