Issue

When changing an ESX host that is polled through a vCenter to be polled directly, the ESX host credentials are not tested and the direct polling job is not initiated.

Resolution

You can fix this issue with any of the following options:

When you specify the ESX credentials you want to assign to the host under Settings > Virtualization Settings > VMware Settings > Assign ESX Credential, click Test before you assign the credentials.

OR

After changing the ESX host to be polled directly, click Disable Polling, and then click Enable Polling under Settings > Virtualization Settings > VMware Settings
