Duplicate your VMAN dashboard for a customized view

Overview

This article describes how to duplicate the existing SolarWinds Virtualization Manager (VMAN) dashboard so you can customize it for another view. 

Environment

VMAN 6.0 and later

Steps

  1. Click Explore > Content and export the content. 
  2. Open the XML file in a text editor.
  3. Locate the following code:
    content name="MyDashboardname"
    where MyDashboardname is the name of your dashboard.
  4. Change the dashboard name to: 

    <content name="MyDashboardname_2"

  5. Save the file > click Import Content.
  6. Set the appropriate permissions.
  7. Select the Overwrite content checkbox. 
  8. Save your settings.
