Degraded network connection on Hyper-V VMs configured with legacy network adapters

Overview

The network connection degrades causing the Web application to become inaccessible and the SSH connection to break down when VMAN is run on a Hyper-V VM that is configured to use a legacy network adapter.

All VMAN versions

Resolution

Do not run Virtualization Manager on Hyper-V VMs that are configured to use a Legacy Network Adapter. You can verify that your network adapter is working correctly by performing the following:

  1. Connect to the Virtualization Manager appliance by using the Hyper-V Manager.
  2. Run the ifconfig command.

If the output of the command shows that there are no dropped packaged, the network adapter is working correctly.
