SolarWinds Virtualization Manager does not have a built-in backup function. However, you can use existing backup tools and processes to preserve your historical data to protect against data loss.

Backing up appliance data

The data is saved as part of the appliance. Backing up the VM will also back up the data it contains. See the Virtual Machine Backup Guide from VMware, available from http://www.vmware.com/support/pubs/vcb_pubs.html

Backing up Windows data

The data is saved in C:\Program Files (x86)\Hyper9\. Backing up this folder and all sub-folders will back up all the data it contains.
