How to block port based on Security Vulnerability Scan on Virtual Manager server

Overview

Use the following procedure to block port 1099, which is being used on OpenNMS.

Environment

  • VMAN 6.3

Steps

Log in using SSH and execute the following commands:

sudo iptables -A INPUT -p tcp --dport 1099 -s 127.0.0.0/8 -d 127.0.0.0/8 -j ACCEPT
sudo iptables -A INPUT -p tcp --dport 1099 -j DROP

sudo iptables -A INPUT -p tcp --dport 9004 -s 127.0.0.0/8 -d 127.0.0.0/8 -j ACCEPT
sudo iptables -A INPUT -p tcp --dport 9004 -j DROP

sudo /etc/init.d/iptables save
