Table of contents

Updated March 14, 2017

Overview

The VMan appliance is out of sync with the system time against the Data source that it monitors and it has no direct internet access

Environment

Vman 6.x and later

Steps

  1. SSH to your Vman (you can putty or access the VM console directly).
  2. Login using 'admin' account
  3. Type: # sudo su
  4. Type: # date (This should give you the current data and time)
  5. Copy the result of 'date' and type the command below provided that on this new line you update the correct time.
    # sudo date -s "Wed Nov 2 15:45:56 UTC 2016" (This is just a sample, replace it with the correct time that matches your Data Sources such as Host, Vcenter, etc.)
  6. Type date again to confirm the result.
