User logins polling giving false positives on Failing status

Overview

This article goes over information pertaining to when the User Event logs polling through UDT are showing a failure banner, but all user logs are still showing up correctly in the console. You can verify the polling is correct through here.

Environment

UDT 3.1 to 3.2.2

Cause

This issue occurs because the polling status of the User logins poll of UDT found no new results on its latest poll. The actual job is listed as a failure incorrectly, resulting in the banner notification that it is failing.

Resolution

There are two options to correct this issue:

  • Upgrade UDT to 3.2.3
  • Apply the UDT 3.2.2 HotFix 2 located here.

After applying either of the two options above, ensure that you dismiss the banner notification. If it is not dismissed, then it will continue to be an issue until done so.
