Wrong VLAN reported for endpoint

Issue

The data returned for an endpoint has an incorrect connection type.

Solution

  1. Verify the endpoint is not connected to a trunk port (trunk ports are excluded by design from direct connection reporting).
  2. Connect to the relevant network device to which you think the endpoint is actually connected. Check the value for the endpoint in the MAC address table.
  3. Connect to the relevant network device to which UDT says the endpoint is connected. Check the MAC address routing table.
