You are the IT manager of your company. You have teams distributed throughout the country. Each region is responsible for their area and they have no need to see what other regions are doing. You now have the task of creating customized views for each region that only reflect the resources they are responsible for monitoring. Orion UDT lets users create specialized geographical views for each region.

Using groups, it is a straightforward process to create custom Web Console views displaying information about monitored objects distinguished by geographic or departmental location. The following procedures in this section create custom views that are then populated with appropriate group-based resources.
